Job Description

Job Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Toddler/Primary Room Assistant! In this dynamic role, you will play a vital part in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young learners. Whether working with preschoolers or school-age children, your energy and commitment will inspire a love of learning that lasts a lifetime. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's growth and development while gaining valuable classroom experience. This position is a split position where the employee will engage with toddlers (18 months to 33 months) in the morning and will engage with the primary room (ages 3 to 5) in the afternoon. Responsibilities Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and guiding children through activities Supervise children during indoor activities, outdoor play, meal times, and transitions to ensure safety at all times Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and classroom events Understand the expectation of accepting and executing all center and church policies and procedures, and the state licensing rules for child care centers. Be knowledgeable of emergency and security procedures and participate in scheduled drills. Qualifications Be at least 19 years of age Have HS Diploma or GED Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, private school settings or similar environments is preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices such as literacy education, behavior management, and classroom management techniques Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and engage with children and families Join us in shaping the future by nurturing young minds!
