Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and energetic Pre-K Teacher to join our team! You will be responsible for encouraging children's intellectual, psychological, and physical growth. Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Plan and schedule age-appropriate curriculum involving various activities to stimulate children's cognitive skills, abilities, and development. Design a daily and weekly schedule Ensures a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for the children. Maintains the classroom in a clean, orderly, and safe fashion that is age-appropriate for the children. Monitors and records daily observations of children's behavior and activities. Complete parent-teacher conferences to discuss children's development and concerns. Provide basic care and caregiving activities Evaluate children to ensure they are reaching developmental milestones Communicates with families daily and updates them on their children's activities Maintains accurate attendance and enrollment records, and maintains appropriate confidential records. Acts as a lead worker and team player to the Teacher Assistants; trains and directs the work of all teachers in the classroom.
Lead Staff Qualifications:
Associate Degree in Early Childhood/related field (Preferred) Required minimum of a CDA or 16 credits of college coursework in a field/related field. 1-year experience teaching preschool-age level. Strong understanding of child development Ability to relate joyfully and sensitively to children. Patient, kind, and nurturing Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills Must be able to perform physical activities, such as but not limited to, lifting children, bending, standing, climbing, or walking. MICHIGAN CHILD CARE BACKGROUND CHECK.
