JOB TITLE

We are seeking reliable, energetic substitute staff to join our child care team. This position is perfect for someone who loves children, is dependable, and understands that child care is ACTIVE work, it is not comparable to babysitting. #1

PRIORITY:

Our number one expectation is that staff SIT on floor, or at table (where the children are) and

VERBALLY AND PHYSICALLY

interact with them throughout the entire shift.

This means:

sitting at eye level during play talking, asking questions, and encouraging coversation reading books with enthusiasm building blocks, doing art and pretend play WITH the children, NOT sitting back and watching them helping children problem solve and regulate emotions actively supervising while being involved- not standing back- and MULTITASK and be able to hold on group while being actively involved and manage room around you as well We are not looking for someone who supervises from a chair. We are looking for someone who participates.

Responsibilities:

Provide a safe, nurturing, and structured environment Follow classroom routines and center policies Assist with meals, toileting/diapering and transitions Maintain active supervision at all times Communicates respectfully to children, staff, parents and admin Be flexible and ready to step into different classrooms needed

Qualifications:

Must be dependable and punctual Must enjoy working directly with children Ability to sit on the floor, bend, lift, and move throughout the day Clear background check (required) Previous child care experience preferred but not required
