Job Description

If you have a passion and purpose to inspire, nurture, and teach young learners, The Astor Academy warmly invites you to be part of our team! We strive to provide a strong foundation for every child through an inclusive curriculum of arts, music, athletics, science, and more. This is a full-time, on-site role for a Preschool Teacher in one of our preschool classrooms, located in Chelsea, MI. This role will be responsible for overseeing classroom activities, maintaining a safe and nurturing environment, and monitoring the progress of each child. Daily tasks include engaging with students, facilitating learning through play, and collaborating with other educators and parents to support the overall development and well-being of each child.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum age of 19 High school diploma or equivalent Ability to pass a background check Additionally, candidates must meet one of the following: At least 1 year of experience along with MiRegistry training 6 months of experience plus related coursework CDA, Montessori certification, Infant/Toddler credential, or an Associate degree or higher
Preferred Qualifications:
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Passion for caring for and working with infants Strong communication and teamwork abilities Knowledge of early childhood development Leadership skills with the ability to guide others
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift up to 40 lbs Comfortable sitting, bending, and working at floor level Able to stay active for extended periods

Position may involve exposure to common childhood illnesses Employer is NOT able to provide visa sponsorship at this time
