The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in special education, childhood development, and classroom management, with a passion for working with young children. As a GSRP Assistant, you will collaborate closely with lead teachers to implement curriculum plans, foster a nurturing learning environment, and support the developmental needs of children. This paid position offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to early childhood education and make a positive impact on young learners' lives. Duties Assist lead teachers in developing and implementing engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and developmental goals. Support classroom activities that promote literacy, math skills, social-emotional growth, and behavioral management. Provide individualized attention and support to children with diverse needs, including those with autism or disabilities. Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Engage in ongoing communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and behavior. Support classroom management strategies that foster positive behavior and respectful interactions among children. Participate in professional development opportunities related to early childhood education, Montessori methods, or special education techniques. Skills Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, including childhood development and daycare best practices. Experience in lesson planning for preschool-aged children with an emphasis on literacy and math instruction. Familiarity with behavior management techniques and working with children who have special needs or disabilities. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and team members. Classroom experience in private schools or daycare settings is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively with individuals with autism or other developmental differences. Knowledge of curriculum development strategies such as Montessori or preschool methodologies. Proven ability to manage classroom activities while maintaining a nurturing environment for toddlers and preschoolers.
