Davison Community Schools PreK for All/GSRP Programs are at Cardinal's Nest and Central Elementary School.
Hours:
Monday-Thursday 8:15 am - 4:00 pm. 29 hours per week

To Be Determined Position Summary:
The PreK for All/GSRP Child Care Provider supports the lead and associate teachers in delivering high-quality early learning experiences for preschool children. This role focuses on nurturing, positive interactions with children and families while helping create a safe, engaging classroom environment that supports each child's growth and development.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Training or experience in child development or early childhood education preferred but not required Willingness to learn new skills and align with the philosophies and best practices of the program Ability to work positively and effectively with both children and adults Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices Completion of all required documentation and screenings before employment, including: Criminal background check LARA eligibility Completion of all licensing-required training and requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality Support daily classroom routines, including taking children outside in all seasons Flexibly assist across multiple classrooms and work collaboratively with all staff Follow program guidelines and State of Michigan child care licensing requirements Engage positively and respectfully with children, staff, and families at all times Promote positive group management and support children's social-emotional development Prepare and serve snacks as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment, caring for materials and equipment appropriately Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities Stay informed through program communications Assist in planning and implementing child-led, interest-based activities Ability to take initiative as well as take instruction by lead and associate teacher Flexibility and a willingness to continually learn and grow professionally Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors and classroom leads
Additional Information:
The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District. This position follows the Davison Community Schools calendar Opportunities may be available to work during the Lil' Cards Summer Camp Program Staff members are eligible for discounts for preschool and latchkey programs for their own children
Salary:
$13.87 - $14.92 per hour; c ommensurate with experience
Direct Supervisor:
Early Learning Director Cardinal's Nest Director (if housed at Cardinal's Nest)
