Helping children gain knowledge and develop creative problem-solving skills that will prepare them to be life-long learners.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
A successful Teacher must have the following education, experience and abilities: minimum high school diploma or GED ability to pass a thorough criminal background check and drug screening. The following education, experience and abilities are preferred: Child Development Associate (CDA) credential in Early Childhood -OR- AA/BA in Early Childhood Education or related field with at least 120 training hours in Infant/Toddler content. 480 hours of experience working with infants and toddlers.
DUTIES:
Supervision of children during arrival. Must greet all parents and children by name. Leading children during circle time and large group activities. Prepare lesson plans using monthly themes. Supervise and/or assist the children with cleanup. Supervise and/or assist with meal and snack preparation, serving, cleaning up, dental hygiene. Supervise and/or assist with nap/quiet time preparations - getting cots and blankets out and putting the children down. Lead structured play activities. Supervise and interact with children during free play or while outside playing. Supervise and/or assist with preparations of going home. Write daily reports during nap time. Supervise and/or assist with daily cleaning procedures. Assist the children with planned activities, including but not limited to, arts, crafts, music, games and any indoor or outdoor activities. Report any illnesses of children.
