Job Description

Overview Children First Learning Center is seeking a caring and dependable Infant/Toddler Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have experience nurturing infants and toddlers while supporting their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through age-appropriate activities and positive interactions. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote early literacy, math skills, physical development, and social-emotional growth in infants and toddlers Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive behavior management Plan and execute daily lesson plans that incorporate Montessori methods, sensory activities, and early intervention strategies Monitor and document each child's progress through observations, assessments, and standardized testing where applicable Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about developmental milestones, classroom activities, and individual needs Collaborate with special education professionals to support children requiring additional assistance or individualized education plans (IEPs) Maintain compliance with childcare regulations, health and safety standards, and best practices in childhood development Qualifications Provide attentive and nurturing care to infants and toddlers. Create and maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment. Support children's developmental milestones through play-based learning activities. Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff. Follow daily schedules, licensing regulations, and center policies. Observe and communicate children's progress and needs with families and superv Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings; classroom experience preferred Knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management techniques, and early intervention practices Strong skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and specialists Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs including special education considerations Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable; bilingual skills are a plus
Pay:
$18.00 - $26.00 per hour
