Morning Program /Hours, e.g., 7:45-8 AM - 1:30-3:30 PM] Reports to: Center Director About Early Start Childcare Early Start Childcare is committed to providing a nurturing, structured, and developmentally appropriate environment that supports the growth of every child. As we continue to enhance program quality and move toward Headstart alignment, we are seeking dedicated professionals who are passionate about early childhood education and willing to invest in the social, emotional, and developmental success of our youngest learners. Position Summary The Infant & Toddler Teacher plays a key role in creating a high-quality, responsive classroom environment that supports children's growth and helps them adjust to a structured daily routine . This teacher will lead the morning classroom with consistency, patience, and professionalism helping children "rewire" their habits toward stability, comfort, and learning readiness. Responsibilities Create and implement a warm, nurturing, and predictable classroom routine that supports children's social emotional security. Guide infants and toddlers in adjusting to a daily schedule that includes learning, rest, meals, and playtime. Promote early learning experiences that meet developmental milestones across physical, cognitive, and language domains. Foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff through open, professional communication. Ensure classroom safety, cleanliness, and organization in alignment with Michigan licensing regulations and Early Start Childcare standards. Collaborate with co-teachers and the director to evaluate and strengthen program quality. Observe and document developmental progress, sharing updates with families and management/program director. Model and reinforce respectful, nurturing interactions and behavior guidance practices. Qualifications Minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Experience working with infants and toddlers in a licensed childcare or early education setting (preferred 2+ years). Strong understanding of child development and Michigan's early learning standards. Ability to establish a consistent, calm, and engaging learning environment. CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain). Passionate about fostering children's growth through structured routines, trust, and positive reinforcement. Why Join Early Start Childcare?
