Part Time Daycare Teacher

Overview MBC is seeking two qualified individuals with a heart for teaching young children. We are a Christian faith based daycare, therefore all applicants must understand and be willing to teach with this understanding. Schedule is Wednesday - Friday. This is a 1099 position. Only serious and qualified individuals need apply. Duties Implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, social skills, and creativity for preschoolers and toddlers. Provide attentive care to children, ensuring their safety, comfort, and emotional well-being at all times Manage classroom routines including mealtime, nap time, playtime, and learning sessions with effective classroom management techniques Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing inclusive caregiving tailored to individual requirements Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians about daily progress, milestones, and any concerns regarding their child's development Ensure the classroom environment is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies in compliance with health and safety standards Assist in emergency procedures such as administering first aid when needed and following proper incident reporting protocols Requirements Must be 18 years or older Must have a high school diploma or GED Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar settings; classroom experience is highly valued Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Must pass a criminal background check for the State of Michigan Certification and training in first aid and CPR to ensure immediate response to emergencies Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus Strong understanding of behavior management techniques to foster positive interactions among children Ability to work flexible hours during daytime shifts in a part-time capacity Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and families Join us if you're passionate about nurturing young learners and making a meaningful difference in their early years.
