Staff Job Description Summary:
This position will be assisting in the design of preschool observation/clinical hour tracking and placement, coordinating times and tracking purposes and outcomes. Will help perform research in order to best utilize the preschool-lab and increase opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
Associate's Degree Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree Experience in childcare and/or school settings, communicating with staff

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Assist in the development and maintenance of partnerships with childcare centers and public/private school programs to facilitate the placement and tracking of SMC students completing clinical hours in alignment with course requirements. Coordinate clinical placement schedules and maintain records related to placement activities, outcomes, and student progress. Support the ongoing analysis of clinical placements and clinical hour requirements to ensure students are engaged in meaningful and effective field experiences. Assist the Education Department by reviewing and updating projects, organizing student records, and monitoring program requirements. Support communication, planning, and coordination of Advisory Board meetings. Facilitate communication with articulating bachelor's degree programs, including coordinating on-campus presentations and guest speaking engagements during designated class times. Collaborate with Career Development to coordinate hiring fairs, workshops, and other career-related opportunities, as well as assist with posting employment opportunities from community partners. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
