About the Opportunity As a 6th Grade Teacher, you will: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging daily lessons—and adjust instruction as needed. Differentiate teaching to support diverse learners and learning styles. Maintain accurate records of student progress and development. Use research-based instructional strategies in your classroom practice. Foster a positive, structured classroom environment focused on learning. Communicate regularly with families about academic and social-emotional growth. Incorporate technology to enhance learning and student engagement. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned. About You You are a strong fit for this role if you: Hold an active Michigan teaching license in the appropriate grade/content area. Have a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Are able to supervise students in various school settings (classroom, playground, cafeteria, etc.). Can pass federal and state background checks. Bring experience working in diverse or urban school environments (preferred).
