An Intergenerational Center Do you love teaching but secretly get a thrill from making things run smoothly? Can you wrangle toddlers and paperwork without breaking a sweat? We're looking for a rockstar Administrative Lead / Lead Teacher to join our intergenerational early childhood program, where children, older adults, and adults with special needs learn, laugh, and grow together. This is a one-of-a-kind role : you'll lead in the classroom, guiding young minds (and the occasional grandparent story time), and then step into administrative action, helping with interviews, daily openings and closings, and keeping our center humming like a well-oiled machine. Basically, you'll get to teach and lead without choosing between the two.
What You'll Do:
In the Classroom (a.k.a. your happy place): Plan and teach engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons Facilitate intergenerational activities that create real connections across ages Mentor assistant teachers and model your classroom magic Build strong relationships with children, families, and your team Behind the Scenes (a.k.a. your secret superpower): Help hire and onboard amazing new staff Step in to open and close the center like a pro Keep things organized, compliant, and running smoothly Troubleshoot, lead, and lend your wisdom wherever it's needed
What We're Looking For:
CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field Experience as a lead teacher and comfort in a leadership/admin role Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to shift seamlessly between classroom chaos and administrative calm Interest in intergenerational programming (bonus points if you like sharing snacks and stories across generations) Must meet state licensing and background requirements
