Job Description
Little Dreamer's believes that all families deserve access to high quality early childhood education. We are looking for Educators who can provide a warm, loving, nurturing environment for our children and families to thrive in. We believe in collaborating with other professionals in our community to provide the best possible care for our children. We need dedicated individuals who understand the importance of this time in a child's life! Responsibilities Follow a daily schedule of activities and discover suitable teaching material Balance your teaching between logical and social exercises Provide basic care and caregiving activities Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, indoor or outdoor games, drawing etc) to enhance the child's abilities Evaluate children's performance to make sure they are on the right learning track Remain in constant communication with parents and update them on the progress of their children Observe children's interactions and promote the spirit of concord Identify behavioral problems and determine the right course of action Collaborate with other colleagues Adhere with teaching standards and safety regulations as established by the official sources Participation in state required and reccomended trainings Check children in and out daily Cleaning and maintainence of the classrooms and the center Preparing snack and meals for children Monitor children in the bathroom and assist with toileting and diapering Monitor and maintain proper teacher-to-student ratio Assist in overall classroom behavior and enforce rules and policies amongst children Expectations Maintain confidentiality of all families enrolled Maintain professionalism and strong customer service skills Punctuality when reporting to work and completing required tasks Use of personal cell phones will be limited to breaks and lunch times Adhere to all Covid-19 related policies mandated by the State of Michigan and our facility Position requires a high level of energy and the ability to transition children between tasks Must be able to bend, stoop, and walk both indoors and outdoors and lift at least 30lbs Supervise daily outdoor time with children Skills At least 1 years proven experience as a child care / daycare teacher required Excellent knowledge of child development and up-to-date education methods Methodical and creative Patience, flexibility and love for children Strong communication and time management skills Certificate in first aid and CPR (obtain within 30 days of hire) Complete state required Health & Safety Training by start date Certification or degree in early childhood education preferred CDA certification preferred
