Job Description

Overview Join our growing faith-based early learning center team as a Preschool Lead Teacher, where your passion for nurturing young minds and hearts will inspire the next generation of learners. In this vital role, you'll lead room activities, develop engaging curricula, and foster a safe, inclusive environment that promotes growth, curiosity, and love for learning. This includes overseeing and leading all staff and volunteers in the room. Your expertise in early childhood development and classroom management will empower children to explore their potential while supporting their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young children and their families. Duties Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards and incorporate curriculum development best practices. Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and social interaction among children. Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring smooth transitions and effective behavior management strategies to foster positive behavior. Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, developmental milestones, and any needs related to early intervention or special education. Support literacy education and math skills through engaging activities tailored to preschoolers' developmental levels. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and volunteers, providing guidance on classroom management and instructional techniques. Maintain detailed records of children's progress, attendance, and assessments including standardized testing where applicable. Ensure compliance with childcare regulations, health and safety standards, and child welfare policies at all times. Skills Extensive knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies. Proven experience in preschool teaching with strong classroom management skills. Expertise in curriculum development across various domains such as literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods. Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds, including toddlers and those requiring special education support. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Skilled in behavior management techniques that promote positive social interactions and emotional well-being. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and assessment tools used in early childhood education settings. Strong organizational skills for lesson planning, record keeping, and maintaining a stimulating and organized learning environment. Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
