Job Description

Edgewood Early Childhood Center is seeking a dedicated Preschool Lead Teacher to create a nurturing, engaging, play-based learning environment for preschool-aged children. This role focuses on curriculum implementation, staff leadership, family partnerships, and compliance with licensing and program standards.
Responsibilities:
Implement curriculum using Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies GOLD Support children's social-emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Create a positive classroom environment that promotes independence and self-confidence Supervise, mentor, and support classroom staff Complete developmental assessments and maintain accurate documentation Communicate and partner effectively with families Ensure compliance with childcare licensing and program requirements Provide at least 7 hours per day of in-ratio classroom coverage Attend staff meetings, professional development, and conferences Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or higher Experience working with preschool-aged children Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to meet all state licensing and background check requirements Applications accepted until filled.
