In this rewarding role, you will support the development, safety, and well-being of young children by helping create a nurturing, structured, and engaging classroom environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, has a positive attitude, and is able to support daily classroom routines, play-based learning, and child supervision. This position is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about childcare and wants to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable classroom experience. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote literacy, math, and social-emotional development. Support classroom management by maintaining a positive environment and encouraging respectful behavior among children. Engage with children through play, tutoring, and hands-on learning experiences tailored to individual needs. Help monitor and document children's progress, including proofreading and recording observations for developmental assessments. Work closely with children with disabilities or autism, adapting activities to meet their unique needs and ensuring inclusive participation. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to safety standards and promotes effective learning. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, behavior, and milestones. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. At least 2 year of childcare, daycare, preschool, or classroom experience preferred. Must be reliable, punctual, and dependable. Must have your own reliable transportation and the ability to commute to Roseville, MI 48066. Must be able to move comfortably and safely throughout the classroom to supervise children. Must be patient, energetic, professional, and passionate about working with young children. Strong communication and teamwork skills required. Ability to multitask in a busy childcare environment while remaining calm and positive. Experience with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or early childhood education is a plus. CDA credential, childcare training, or Early Childhood Education coursework is preferred but not required. Schedule Full-time opportunities available. Daytime, evening, and overnight shifts may be available depending on center needs. Applicants must be available for the shift they are applying for.
