Our new Preschool is searching for a loving, active, and nurturing early childhood educator to add to our team. We are looking for a teacher for 8:45-3:30 PM Monday-Friday. If you love children, innovating, and want to be a part of a great team of passionate early childhood educators, please send us your resume.
Who we are:
Our mission is to help children recognize the unique potential that they were given and let them shine. By providing a loving, child-centered environment, we aim to empower our children to use their unique capabilities to impact their surroundings. By tapping into each child's curiosity and individuality, they will unleash their "Lamplighter" within.
What makes us unique:
Our school is built on the belief that the earliest events in a child's life are the most formative and critical determinants of their development. Furthermore, we hold true that children learn best through an experiential and intentional approach to teaching and learning, and that each child is inherently capable and competent. Drawing from the best practices in early childhood education, and with specific inspiration from the Reggio Emilia philosophy, children will learn through an innovative, inquiry-based, hands-on curriculum where they actively participate in the learning process. At Lamplighters, we honor the whole child. Teachers get to know each child deeply and authentically, allowing them to see their value within the classroom, the school and the community.
Our amazing teachers will have:
A love for children and a calm presence. A background in early childhood education. At least 3 years of experience with young children. Enjoy observing and playing with children.
What we offer:
Competitive compensation Small class sizes Time with the sweetest children and their loving families Why work at Lamplighters? - From our teachers "If you like being outside in the fresh air EVERY DAY, embracing flexibility and change, learning new teaching methods and problem solving with your team, holding bugs and cleaning up messes, going the extra mile for the sake of the child, the vibe and the aesthetic , if the process is more important than the product, and you want to eat delicious food, Lamplighters might be the place you want to teach!" - Fisher "Lamplighters is so unique because the administration values its students, staff, and parents in equal measure. It seems like a simple thing, but it makes a HUGE difference. You've probably heard of the "whole-child approach," but at Lamplighters, it's not just the children. Every person involved in Lamplighters, parents, staff, and students alike, is treated with a "whole-human approach." I just completed my third year as a teacher here, and I'm still impressed every day by how much I feel like a human first and a teacher second when I go to work. Administration seamlessly blends professionalism and warmth, and they lead with kindness, humility, and a collaborative spirit that makes everyone feel valued, supported, and seen." - Lauren "The lamplighters environment is welcoming, understanding and supportive. This school is filled with staff members who are kind, caring and passionate about this field of work and it reflects in how they care for and teach the children." -
