Schedule:
Full-Time, Monday-Friday GSRP Lead Teacher•Preschool Classroom The Learning Experience•South Lyon West is seeking a qualified and passionate GSRP Lead Teacher to lead a state-funded preschool classroom serving 4-year-old learners. This role focuses on preparing children for kindergarten through engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences that support academic, social, and emotional growth. This position is ideal for an experienced Early Childhood Educator who enjoys building strong relationships with children, families, and teaching teams while creating a structured and nurturing classroom environment. Key Responsibilities Lead daily instruction in a GSRP preschool classroom Implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with GSRP standards Support school readiness through early literacy, math, and social-emotional learning Maintain a safe, engaging, and organized classroom environment Observe, assess, and document student progress in accordance with program requirements Build strong relationships with families through regular communication and conferences Collaborate with assistant teachers and center leadership Maintain compliance with Michigan licensing and GSRP program standards Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education required Must meet Michigan GSRP Lead Teacher qualification requirements Prior preschool or GSRP classroom experience preferred Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practice Excellent communication and classroom leadership skills CPR and First Aid certification preferred What We Offer Competitive salary of $38,000•42,000 for the GSRP school year Supportive leadership and collaborative teaching environment Professional development and growth opportunities Employee childcare discount Opportunity to make a lasting impact in a high-quality preschool program Apply today to join The Learning Experience•South Lyon West and help prepare young learners for lifelong success through meaningful early childhood education experiences.
