Preschool Teacher - Summer in the Park Summer, 2026
Pay:
$23.75 per hour Part-time, Seasonal, Not Benefit Eligible We're seeking friendly, enthusiastic candidates to work as Lead Teachers in our Summer Preschool Program with a fabulous team! This position is responsible for planning, implementing, and conducting classes for children ages 3 through 5 years old, with a focus on child-led, open ended, creative indoor and outdoor learning activities.CLICK HERE

This position works Monday - Thursday from 8:30am to 1:30pm in our Summer in the Park Preschool Program. Develop, plan, implement quality play-based program curriculum for preschool aged children. Focus on creative indoor and outdoor play-based learning activities. Provide a safe, wholesome, caring and comfortable environment for child participants. Communicate with parents/caregivers and supervisors. Adapt and independently problem-solve unanticipated situations. Track and report program related records. Provide work direction to other preschool team members. Request supplies and materials as needed. Administer basic first aid as needed - training provided! Other duties as assigned. Bachelor's degree or nearly completed degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Two (2) years of experience in teaching or assisting a teacher or equivalent work in a similar position. Valid driver's license. Previous lead teaching experience in a preschool setting. Experience in recreation preschool programs or youth camps. CPR and First Aid Certifications.Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of:

Supervision Preschool Teachers will be responsible for daily work direction of other seasonal staff, leaders in training teen volunteers, and camp participants. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk, write, hear, balance, run, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, dance, sing, and do other movement in a variety of environments. Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and peripheral vision. Employees may be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Working Conditions 50% indoors, and 50% outdoors, summer weather conditions resulting in humidity, rain, sunshine, wind and temperatures above 90 degrees.
