Paid Sick and Safe Time accrual of 0.0461 hours per hour worked. Eligible for MN Family and Medical Leave.POSITION OVERVIEW
Provides supervision and care for babies, toddlers and preschoolers while their parents and caregivers attend worship services and church activities on-site Works Sundays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. with potential for additional hours on Wednesday evenings if desiredPRIMARY FUNCTIONS
Creates safe, playful, and welcoming environment in church nursery Provides care for babies and young children ages 6 months through PreK Supports youth and adult child care volunteers Sets-up and cleans-up the childcare space Ensures families sign-in and sign-out their child/ren Contacts on-site parents and caregivers for child/ren toileting needs or other support Affirms and supports children and families with varying identities, family configurations, disabilities, neurotypes, and lived experiencesPOSITION REQUIREMENTS
Skills and experience caring for babies and young children Strong organizational and interpersonal skills Both a good team member and a self-directed worker Warm and welcoming to children and adults Familiarity with or willingness to learn about Unitarian Universalism Must be available to work every Sunday morning Must attend required training Must be or willing to become CPR certified Must meet background check criteria Must have reliable transportation on Sunday morningsCORE COMPETENCIES
