What You'll Do As a Child Care Teacher, you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where children can learn, explore, and thrive.
Responsibilities include:
Actively engaging with children throughout the day through play, conversation, learning activities, and hands-on experiences. Implementing lesson plans and creating exciting opportunities for learning and development. Planning and leading fun, age-appropriate activities such as arts and crafts, tie-dye projects, sensory activities, games, science experiments, music, and outdoor play. Creating a warm, welcoming classroom environment through creative decorating and seasonal classroom displays. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe classroom at all times. Building positive relationships with children, families, and fellow team members. Serving as a positive role model by demonstrating kindness, respect, patience, and professionalism. Supporting children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Encouraging creativity, independence, confidence, and a love for learning. Supervising children and ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the day. Participating in monthly staff meetings, training opportunities, fire drills, emergency preparedness activities, and center events. Following all center policies, licensing regulations, and health and safety procedures. What We're Looking For A genuine passion for working with young children.
