Preschool Classroom Education Assistant Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 33.75 hours per week
Start Date:
Fall 2026
Pay:
$23.34 per hour

Required Qualifications:
A high school diploma or GED and one of the following: An
AA, AS, AAS
(or higher) degree, or Two years of post-secondary coursework (60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits) from an accredited institution of higher education which are applicable toward a bachelors degree, or Passing score of 460 (or higher) on the ParaPro Assessment. (For more information on the ParaPro Assessment, contact Educational Testing Service at 1-800-772-9476 or www.ets.org/parapro) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent (preferably in Education) Prior education assistant/paraprofessional or teaching experience
Responsibilities:
Assist in compiling classroom communications Organize and process book orders, fundraisers, and other special projects Coordinate bulletin board displays and/or student artwork displays Assist with field trip and assembly preparations Assist in the administration of standardized testing, including computer set-up Support the testing coordination team in organizing, scheduling, and monitoring tests Work with individual and/or small groups of students to reinforce instructed material Photocopy, laminate, and otherwise prepare classroom materials as needed Other duties as assigned Independent School District No, 622, North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale, does not discriminated on the basis of sex and prohibits sex discrimination in any education program or activity.
