Job Description

St. Paul's Little Saints Early Childhood Center is seeking a loving, nurturing, and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience working with young children and is passionate about helping 2- and 3-year-olds grow socially, emotionally, spiritually, and academically in a Christ-centered environment. This teacher will create a safe, engaging classroom where children develop independence, build foundational skills, and experience God's love through daily interactions and Christian education. Responsibilities Provide a warm, caring, and positive classroom environment for young children. Support and guide children through the potty-training process with patience and consistency. Foster social-emotional development by teaching friendship skills, self-regulation, empathy, and positive conflict resolution. Plan and implement age-appropriate learning activities that promote kindergarten readiness and early academic skills. Teach foundational concepts including language and literacy, early math, fine motor development, and problem-solving. Incorporate Christian values, Bible stories, prayer, and faith-based lessons into daily classroom activities. Build strong relationships with children and families through regular communication and partnership. Observe and assess children's growth and development and maintain appropriate records. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment. Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support the mission of the center. Qualifications Experience working with preschool-aged children, preferably ages 2-3. Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate practices. Ability to create engaging, hands-on learning experiences. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patient, dependable, and flexible. Passion for Christian education and modeling Christian values. Early Childhood Education coursework or degree preferred. Meet all state licensing requirements for childcare staff. Pay:
$18.00 - $19.00 per hour
