In this role, you will create engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences that foster a deep connection with nature while supporting early childhood development. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire children to explore, discover, and grow in a nurturing outdoor environment. Responsibilities Design and implement innovative curriculum that integrates nature-based activities with foundational early childhood education principles Facilitate outdoor exploration, encouraging children to observe, ask questions, and develop environmental awareness Manage classroom routines and behavior management strategies to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning space Collaborate with colleagues to develop lesson plans aligned with developmental milestones and educational standards Support children's social-emotional growth through positive guidance, communication skills, and fostering independence Incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and other subjects into outdoor activities Maintain accurate documentation of children's progress, including assessments and individualized plans when necessary Requirements Proven experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings, preferably in outdoor or nature-based programs Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies Background in early childhood education, including curriculum development and classroom management skills Familiarity with special education needs and inclusive teaching practices Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members Prior experience with Montessori, Waldorf, or other child-centered educational approaches is a plus Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy, math, physical activity, and environmental education Certification or training in early childhood education or childcare is highly desirable We are dedicated to supporting our educators with ongoing professional development opportunities and a collaborative work environment.
