Position overview We are accepting applications from enthusiastic individuals interested in working with young children across a variety of age groups and classroom settings — from infants and toddlers through preschool and pre-kindergarten. Key responsibilities Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities aligned with Primrose School's Balanced Learning® curriculum Observe and document each child's development and communicate progress to families on a regular basis Build positive, trusting relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members Support children's social-emotional development alongside their cognitive and physical growth Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom that meets licensing and Primrose standards Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events Collaborate with lead teachers and classroom teams to support each child's individual needs Qualifications Required Genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; coursework or a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is strongly preferred Ability to pass a required background check Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills Patience, warmth, and a positive, nurturing disposition Preferred Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field Prior experience in a licensed childcare, preschool, or school setting Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices across infant, toddler, and preschool age groups CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) What we offer Competitive pay based on education and experience Tuition discount for employees' children enrolled at Primrose Paid professional development and ongoing training A collaborative, supportive team that genuinely cares about each other Health, dental, and vision benefits (for eligible positions) A meaningful career where your work makes a real difference every day
