Semcac Head Start Preschool Teacher Spring Grove, Minnesota Part-Time | 28 Hours per Week | Program Year Position Job Summary Semcac Head Start is seeking a passionate and dedicated Head Start Teacher to provide a high-quality early childhood education experience. In this role, you will plan and implement developmentally appropriate classroom activities, support children's growth and school readiness, and partner with families to ensure each child's success.
Key Responsibilities:
Classroom Leadership Plan, prepare, and lead daily classroom activities aligned with Head Start Performance Standards Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment Support each child's individual needs, abilities, and development Conduct and document child assessments accurately and consistently Supervise and guide classroom staff Integrate health, nutrition, and wellness into daily routines Support children with disabilities through coordinated services Family Engagement Build strong relationships with families and encourage participation Support families in preparing children for transitions to future educational settings Community Collaboration Assist with recruitment of eligible children and families Partner with community organizations to support family needs Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate child records, assessments, and case notes Ensure compliance with Head Start regulations and program requirements Qualifications Associate's (AA) or Bachelor's (BA) degree in Early Childhood Education or related field OR Child Development Associate (CDA) credential with enrollment in an ECE degree program CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Knowledge of child development and family support practices Why Join Semcac Head Start? Pay:
$22.11 - $24.87 per hour
