World Around Us Position Summary:
World Around Us is seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator to support children's learning and development in our childcare center. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is passionate about creating engaging, developmentally appropriate experiences for young children. Whether serving as a classroom teacher or supporting as an aide, this position plays an important role in fostering a positive early learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Support daily classroom activities and routines in the childcare center Assist with or lead implementation of curriculum aligned with early childhood best practices Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers Maintain strong communication with families regarding children's development and classroom activities Ensure compliance with all licensing, health, and safety regulations Observe and support children's progress, including developmental milestones Provide a safe, supportive, and consistent learning environment each day Collaborate with teaching staff to create meaningful learning experiences
Qualifications:
Some college coursework in Early Childhood Education, a CDA, or qualifications that meet Minnesota Rule 3 requirements for teacher qualification preferred Previous experience in an early childhood setting preferred Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively and adapt in a dynamic environment A genuine passion for supporting young children's growth and development
