Job Description

Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Job Summary The Preschool Aide at St. Lucy Parish provides a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. Supports children's emotional, social, and educational development through structured activities, play, and positive guidance. Key Responsibilities Supervise and monitor the safety of children at all times Plan and lead age-appropriate activities including play, crafts, music, and early learning exercises Assist with feeding, diapering, toileting, and general hygiene Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly environment Encourage positive behavior and model appropriate social interactions Qualifications Childcare experience preferred (daycare, preschool, babysitting) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Patience, reliability, and a genuine love for working with children Work Environment Indoor and outdoor childcare setting Requires standing, bending, lifting, and active engagement throughout the day Fast-paced, energetic environment with varying daily needs The Archdiocese of St. Louis is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
