Job Description

Company Overview Creative Nursery and Preschool is a licensed child care program dedicated to nurturing young children in a safe and engaging environment. We focus on providing high-quality early childhood education, utilizing the Creative Curriculum, and maintaining exceptional nutritional standards for children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. Overview We are seeking a passionate, dependable Part Time Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will support classroom activities, promote positive behavior, and assist in creating a warm, nurturing space where young children can learn and grow. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's early development. The position is Monday-Friday 7am-10am with the opportunity to work more hours helping to cover other shifts when needed. The ideal candidate will have a high level of flexibility and willingness to work extra hours within business hours. The hourly rate range is between $16.50-17.50 per hour, based on education and experience. Part time employees are eligible for 2 weeks 2 days paid time off in addition to 10 paid holidays. Payment for 12 clock hour trainings each year is provided. No other fringe benefits are provided. Reliability, punctuality and the ability to stay off of cell phone are of the utmost importance in this role. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards Support children with their daily routines, including diapering, feeding, and nap times Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning Engage children through play-based activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development Support behavior management strategies to guide positive interactions among children Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials and toys Communicate effectively with parents and team members about children's progress and needs Other duties as needed Experience Previous experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or nannying setting preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices for child care Experience with classroom management and behavior guidance techniques Certification or training in first aid and CPR is highly desirable Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Join us to help shape the early experiences of our youngest learners!
