Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Preschool Aide to join our early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for young learners. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster positive development in children, ensuring they feel valued and supported as they explore their world. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and learning of preschool-aged children while gaining valuable classroom experience. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers with implementing daily lesson plans that promote literacy, math, and social skills Support classroom management by maintaining a positive and inclusive atmosphere for children Engage children in age-appropriate activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and early childhood development Help with classroom organization, including preparing materials and tidying up after activities Provide attentive supervision during playtime, meals, nap times, and outdoor activities to ensure safety at all times Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized assistance as needed Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a collaborative learning environment Experience Prior experience working with preschool-aged children in a daycare, private school, or early childhood education setting is preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early learning curricula such as Montessori or other preschool programs is advantageous Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies Experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is a plus Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and engage with young learners Previous experience in lesson planning or curriculum development related to early childhood education is desirable Join us in shaping the future by supporting young children's growth through engaging activities, compassionate care, and dedicated teamwork. Please note:
This position is for 10 months annually. Most people elect to get paid over 12 months and supplement their income (or rest) during the summer months. It is rare for people in this role to be offered health and life insurance, but we believe everyone benefits when our teachers are healthy!Pay:
