Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead Teacher to inspire and guide young learners in a vibrant educational environment. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes early childhood development, literacy, math skills, and social-emotional growth. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of high-quality instruction tailored to diverse learning needs, including students with disabilities and developmental challenges. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while working collaboratively with a dedicated team of educators. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and individual student needs. Lead classroom activities that promote literacy, numeracy, speech therapy, behavioral health, and social skills. Manage classroom behavior through effective behavioral management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques. Collaborate with specialists such as speech therapists, behavioral therapists, and special education professionals to support students' individualized education plans (IEPs). Monitor student progress through assessments, standardized testing, and ongoing observations; adjust instruction accordingly. Mentor and support assistant teachers and teaching assistants to ensure consistent instructional quality and classroom management. Maintain detailed documentation of student development, IEP goals, behavioral interventions, and communication with families. Requirements Proven classroom experience in early childhood education or special education settings; preschool or private school experience is preferred. Strong knowledge of childhood development, curriculum development, literacy education, math instruction, and behavioral health strategies. Experience working with children with autism, developmental disabilities, or other special needs; familiarity with speech therapy and behavioral therapy techniques is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, colleagues, and external specialists. Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering an inclusive learning environment. Certification or training in early intervention, behavioral management, or related fields is a plus. Passion for mentoring young learners and supporting their holistic growth through innovative teaching methods such as Montessori or other child-centered approaches.
