Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Two-Year-Old Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for toddlers aged two years old. Your leadership will inspire young learners through innovative curriculum development, effective classroom management, and personalized attention. As a Lead Teacher, you will collaborate with families and staff to support each child's growth in social, emotional, physical, and cognitive domains, ensuring a positive foundation for lifelong learning. Responsibilities Design and implement dynamic lesson plans tailored to the developmental needs of two-year-olds, incorporating early literacy education, math concepts, physical activities, and social skills. Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence among toddlers. Manage daily classroom routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and outdoor play while maintaining high standards of health and safety. Utilize behavior management strategies to guide positive social interactions and address behavioral challenges with patience and consistency. Collaborate with families through regular communication about each child's progress, milestones, and areas needing support; promote family engagement in learning activities. Incorporate principles of childhood development theories such as Montessori methods and early intervention practices to enhance learning experiences. Maintain accurate records of student assessments, attendance, and developmental progress; prepare reports aligned with standardized testing where applicable. Lead classroom team efforts by mentoring assistant teachers or aides to ensure consistent delivery of quality care and education. Requirements Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, specifically with toddlers aged two years old. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development that includes literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies. Prior experience in preschool or daycare environments; private school experience is a plus. Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields; Montessori certification is desirable. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and community partners. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate standardized testing preparation when necessary; tutoring experience is beneficial. Commitment to child welfare practices including safety protocols and inclusive teaching approaches for children with special needs or requiring early intervention services.
