Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Daycare Assistant Teacher! In this dynamic role, you will play a crucial part in creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for young children. Your energy and dedication will help foster their growth, curiosity, and development while supporting the lead teacher and ensuring smooth classroom operations. Duties Coordinate lunch and snack schedules with staff; ensure meal counts and allergy information are recorded and communicated properly Assists in implementing engaging activities that promote learning and development for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment that adheres to health and safety regulations Provide attentive care to children's basic needs, including feeding, diapering, and comforting to ensure their well-being throughout the day Help facilitate positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation and social skills among children Collaborate with team members to monitor developmental milestones and document observations for parent updates and program planning Support inclusive practices by working with children with disabilities or special needs, ensuring they receive appropriate care and attention Assist in maintaining open communication with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, routines, and any concerns Requirements One year (1) prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Certification or training in first aid and CPR is required and can be provided; ongoing training is a plus Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is a plus The ability to handle behavior management effectively Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team dedicated to providing exceptional childcare services Passion for nurturing young minds and supporting their growth through engaging activities and compassionate care Join us in creating a joyful learning environment where every child feels valued and supported!
