Child Care Assistant Teacher

Duties Support lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans focused on early childhood development, literacy, math, and social skills. Assist with supervising children during classroom activities, playtime, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and engagement. Help facilitate inclusive learning experiences by working with children with disabilities or autism, ensuring they are fully integrated into classroom routines. Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning through Montessori or other educational philosophies. Support behavior management strategies to promote positive conduct and social skills among children. Communicate effectively with children to foster a nurturing atmosphere, using clear instructions and active listening techniques. Collaborate with other staff members to monitor individual progress and provide mentorship to new or less experienced team members. Skills understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Experience working with children in classroom settings, including private schools or Montessori environments. Knowledge of special education techniques, behavior management strategies, and working with individuals with disabilities or autism. Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and team members effectively. Ability to manage classroom routines confidently while maintaining a positive learning environment. Skills in tutoring or literacy education to support children's reading and writing skills.
