- Plan and implement engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans in accordance with the Seedlings® curriculum and curriculum enhancements. Follow the classroom's daily schedule while ensuring that all classroom boards are updated every 30 days. Classroom Management
- Deliver high-quality classroom experiences by maintaining a clean, safe, and nurturing environment that promotes social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Complete the Daily Classroom Cleaning Checklist and maintain the classroom per Lightbridge Academy and Health/Sanitation standards. Child Assessment
- Observe, assess, and document children's growth through portfolios and the Lightbridge Journey App. Conduct biannual parent-teacher conferences and adapt instruction to meet each child's needs and interests. Supervision and Mentorship
- Supervise and guide Assistant Teachers by coordinating classroom responsibilities, leading weekly meetings, modeling best practices, providing feedback, and conducting performance evaluations. Maintain proper staff/child ratios as set by state licensing. Family Engagement
- Build strong relationships with families through consistent and professional communication. Greet and engage parents in the classroom and throughout the school, share child updates via the Journey App (including photos three times per week), and respond to messages promptly. Compliance and Safety
- Supervise children at all times by sight and sound, both indoors and during outdoor learning time. Monitor for illness or distress, administer first aid or medication per licensing requirements, and report and document incidents promptly. Ensure accurate completion of accident/incident reports and inform the administrative team when appropriate. Basic Care Responsibilities
- Feed children per class and individualized schedules, diaper every two hours or as needed, and support children through toilet training. Provide personal hygiene care, comfort, and physical support to infants and young children, including carrying them when necessary. Positive Interaction and Behavior Management
- Engage children on their level and acknowledge them with positive language throughout the day. Use positive reinforcement and redirection techniques in accordance with Lightbridge Academy's Discipline Policy. Professionalism and Culture
- Model professionalism, maintain a positive relationship with co-workers, and uphold confidentiality and the social media policy. Consistently follow center policies and procedures and properly open and close the classroom or pod. Professional Development
- Attend required trainings, meetings, and conferences (on-site or off-site), participate in tours and marketing events, and support classroom and center initiatives. Meet continuing education requirements as set by the company and licensing agencies. Technology & Communication
- Use tablets or smart devices to document daily routines, upload updates, and communicate with families through the Lightbridge Journey App in a timely and professional manner. Other Duties

These functions include:
Standing and Walking- The ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time. Lifting
- The ability to lift and carry children (up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 60 pounds), assist with mobility needs as well as the ability to handle light-to-moderate physical tasks such as moving classroom furniture and collecting educational materials. Bending, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, or Crawling
- Regularly bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling to interact with children at their level or assist with classroom activities. Climbing
- The ability to safely assist children in climbing outdoor playground structures or engage in outdoor activities. Vision and Hearing
- The ability to observe classroom activities, read instructional materials, and communicate effectively with children and parents. Fine Motor Skills
- The use of hands and fingers to handle paperwork, educational materials, type on a keyboard, and assist children with classroom projects, eating and drinking, and personal care within our lavatory facilities. Environment
- Work is primarily conducted in a moderately noisy classroom, with occasional outdoor activities like recess, depending on the weather; the role requires the ability to be outdoors in various temperatures and extended sunlight.
