Part-Time Nursery Caregiver Pine Valley Methodist Church Belville, NC Job Details Part-time $15 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Hygiene practices (early childhood general education) Classroom active supervision Child safety supervision Performing background checks Feeding for children Full Job Description Overview Pine Valley Methodist Church is seeking to hire a part-time Nursery Caregiver to join our team in providing childcare for children, birth to 4 years old, during our Sunday morning worship service.
Position Details:
Part-time - Sunday, 9:30am-11:30am
Purpose:
Sharing in the vision of Pine Valley Methodist Church of "Connecting Hearts to Christ and One Another", our Children's Nursery serves as a vital ministry in making disciples of Jesus Christ with our children birth to 4 years old. Children and parents can experience a sense of safety and well-being knowing that while parents participate in Sunday service, a caring staff is nurturing their Children. Duties Welcome children and parents at check-in, assuring appropriate information is gathered and shared. Set-up and lead, as directed, activity stations for the morning. Provide a safe, interactive, loving, and encouraging environment for all children. Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times, being alert to the needs of the children, individually and as a group. Feed infants as needed and specified by parents. Change diapers or help with bathroom breaks as needed. Ensure classroom is safe and clean before and after use. Dismiss children to parents at check-out. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
A committed Christian. 18 years of age. The ability to direct and supervise young children as well as interact with others (parents, other staff members, adults) with kindness and patience. The ability to follow written and verbal directions. Ability to bend, squat, reach up, carry, and lift items and children as needed. Completion of MinistrySafe training and background check.
