Position Summary The Kindergarten Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate instruction that supports student growth and prepares children for future academic success. The teacher will create a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment while fostering creativity, curiosity, and a love for learning through hands-on and engaging instruction. The ideal candidate is organized, patient, energetic, and passionate about early childhood and elementary education within a Christ-centered environment.

What You'll Do:

Classroom Instruction & Student Learning Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with kindergarten learning standards and school curriculum. Teach foundational skills in reading, phonics, writing, math, science, social studies, and social-emotional learning. Create hands-on learning experiences that encourage creativity, exploration, and critical thinking. Differentiate instruction to meet the unique learning needs of each student. Foster a positive classroom culture that promotes confidence, independence, respect, and kindness. Classroom Management & Student Support Establish and maintain classroom routines, expectations, and positive behavior management strategies. Monitor student progress and provide ongoing support and encouragement. Encourage students' spiritual, emotional, social, and academic growth through daily interactions and classroom experiences. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment. Family Communication Build strong relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication, progress updates, and parent-teacher conferences. Address parent concerns professionally and collaboratively. Partner with families to support student success both inside and outside the classroom. Professional Responsibilities Maintain accurate student records, assessments, and documentation. Participate in staff meetings, school events, training, and professional development opportunities. Collaborate with administrators and fellow teachers to support school goals and student achievement. Ensure compliance with school policies and state educational requirements.
