As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and fostering a safe, inclusive space where children can thrive. Your role is vital in supporting children's growth across cognitive, social, emotional, and physical domains while ensuring adherence to best practices in childcare and early education standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while working within a collaborative team dedicated to excellence in early childhood development. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that promote literacy education, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional learning tailored to various age groups including toddlers and preschoolers. Manage daily classroom activities with enthusiasm, ensuring a structured yet flexible environment that encourages exploration and creativity. Foster positive behavior management strategies to support children's emotional regulation and social skills development. Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, address concerns, and share strategies for supporting learning at home. Incorporate specialized techniques such as Montessori methods or early intervention strategies when appropriate to enhance individualized learning experiences. Maintain accurate records of children's development milestones, attendance, and assessments aligned with standardized testing requirements. Supervise assistant teachers and support staff, providing guidance in classroom management, lesson planning, and child welfare best practices. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare centers or preschools. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques. Familiarity with special education needs and early intervention programs to support diverse learners. Experience with literacy education, math instruction, physical education activities, and behavior management strategies. Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields; Montessori training or preschool experience is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, families, and team members effectively. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate standard educational practices including standardized testing preparation when necessary.
