Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Child Care Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a dynamic early childhood education environment. In this role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curricula, and foster a safe, inclusive space where children can thrive. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods. Lead daily classroom activities that promote social-emotional growth, behavior management, and childhood development milestones. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to ensure effective classroom management and consistent educational practices. Collaborate with families to discuss children's progress, address concerns, and provide guidance on child welfare and developmental needs. Incorporate specialized techniques such as early intervention strategies and special education accommodations to support diverse learners. Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment that adheres to licensing regulations and best practices in childcare. Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor progress and tailor instruction accordingly. Requirements Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, with a strong background in childhood development principles. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques. Knowledge of early intervention strategies, special education needs, and literacy education methodologies. Familiarity with Montessori methods, standardized testing procedures, and teaching physical education is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners effectively. Certification in early childhood education or a related field is required; additional certifications in special education or toddler care are a plus.
