Position Summary:
Currituck County Schools is seeking a dedicated and passionate Exceptional Children's Pre-K Teacher to create a positive and engaging learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will inspire students to acheive their academic potential whie fostering a love for learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Instruction:
Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons aligned with state standards and curriculum guidelines.
Classroom Management:
Establish and maintain a respectful and safe classroom environment conducive to learning.
Differentiation:
Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse learning needs and styles.
Assessment:
Utilize a variety of assessment tools to monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Collaboration:
Work closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents to support student success.
Professional Development:
Engage in ongoing professional learning and participate in school initiatives.
Community Involvement:
Foster relationships with the community to enhance educational opportunities for students.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
Must hold or be eligible to hold appropriate NC Licensure from the NC Department of Public Instruction (Birth-Kindergarten or Preschool Add-on Certification Required).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to create engaging lesson plans and utilize various teaching strategies.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with technology integration in the classroom.
Knowledge of differentiated instruction and inclusive practices.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
