The Role We are seeking a high energy, creative, and fully fluent Mandarin Language and Enrichment Specialist to bring our global curriculum to life. Instead of being anchored to a single room, you will serve as our premier language ambassador, rotating through a cluster of designated classrooms during specific instructional blocks throughout the day. Your mission is to push into classrooms and enrich the environments with high impact Mandarin language circles, storytelling, music, and cultural arts, ensuring our students receive an authentic, dynamic introduction to Mandarin. Core Responsibilities Dynamic Mandarin Enrichment:
Push into designated classrooms during scheduled daily blocks to deliver engaging, interactive Mandarin language instruction, songs, games, and cultural enrichment activities tailored to early childhood learners.
Collaborative Scheduling:
Partner with classroom Lead Teachers and the Founding Center Director to manage a seamless daily rotation schedule across your cluster of classrooms.
Curriculum Integration:
Collaborate with the educational leadership team to align your Mandarin activities with the broader seasonal themes of The Creative Curriculum® and global study blocks.
Resource and Material Development:
Design, prepare, and maintain high quality, engaging visual aids, props, and cultural materials to maximize student engagement during your language blocks.
School Wide Cultural Ambassadorship:
Support school wide cultural events, festivals, and family engagement initiatives that celebrate global diversity and multi language learning.
What You Bring Language Fluency:
Native or native equivalent fluency in Mandarin is strictly required. Strong conversational English skills are necessary for staff coordination and school wide collaboration.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience working with young children (ages 12 months to Pre K) in a school, language academy, camp, or early childhood setting. A gift for keeping young children engaged through music, movement, and storytelling is highly valued.
Credentials:
Must meet baseline North Carolina qualifying requirements for childcare staff (including a high school diploma and clean criminal background check clearance). Coursework or credentials in Early Childhood Education is a major plus.
Mindset:
An exceptionally energetic, flexible, and enthusiastic team player. Since you will be moving between classrooms, you must have strong time management skills and a collaborative spirit that respects each classroom's established flow.
