Growth opportunities Safe work environment Responsibilities for Infant Teacher Provide a safe and loving environment for the infants in his/her care Give bottles to infants as provided by parents Feed infants' solid foods as age appropriate and provided by parents Change diapers as needed Soothe infants by singing to and cuddling them Supervise infants on the floor as they play with age appropriate toys Put infants in cribs for nap time Ensure play, sleep and changing areas are kept clean Qualifications for Infant Teacher Completion of the Early Childhood courses as designed by the state Child Care authority (EDU 119) Meet annual professional development requirements, per state regulations Caring individual who enjoys teaching young children Able to lift up to 30 pounds Extended periods of time sitting on the floor Ability to work a shift in between 6:30 am -5:30 pm that changes weekly Reliable transportation to the Child Care center Great customer service skills to communicate effectively with parents CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Familiarity with daycare regulations and child welfare guidelines
