Our open positions include:
Lead PreK Teacher (8:45-1:15 M-F) Lead Threes Teacher (8:45-1:15 M-TH) Assistant Threes Teacher (8:45-1:15 M-TH) Specials Teacher (TH/F from 10:00-11:00) These positions offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children through quality education and compassionate care.
Duties:
Assistant Teachers:
Assists Lead Teacher with planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities to create a learning environment that allows children to be exposed to a wide range of learning experiences. Manages and supports diverse emotional, behavioral, and academic needs of children. Consistently demonstrates professional qualities including respect, reliability, patience, empathy, and adaptability. Attends professional development throughout the school year.
Lead Teachers:
Lead Teachers are responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities to create a learning environment that allows children to be exposed to a wide range of learning experiences. Responsible for classroom management, communication with families, and creating and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum. Manages and supports diverse emotional, behavioral, and academic needs of children. Consistently demonstrates professional qualities including respect, reliability, patience, empathy, and adaptability. Attends professional development throughout the school year.
Skills:
Previous preschool teaching experience or teacher's certification preferred. Thorough understanding of preschool principles and early childhood development, including kindergarten readiness expectations. Strong communication, written and verbal skills to effectively engage with families, children, and colleagues. Strong skills in behavior management, classroom management, and pre-k care.
Additional information:
Working hours are from 8:45-1:15 pm We operate from September-May and closely align with WCPSS's traditional school calendar. You must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma to be considered.
