Job Description

Part-Time Child Care Assistant 2902 University Dr S, Fargo, ND 58103 Part-time Part-time We're hiring a Part-Time Child Care Assistant to help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, play, and grow. In this role, you'll support classroom activities, assist with daily routines, and help provide quality care for children of all abilities in Fraser's inclusive Child Care program. Flexible Part-Time Schedule Available to work between 12pm-5:30/6pm or 2pm-5:30/6pm Work 2-5 days per week Must be dependable and reliable
What You'll Do:
Child Safety & Supervision Supervise children during play, learning activities, and daily routines Provide personal care and support as needed Follow all child care safety procedures and emergency protocols Identify and report health and safety concerns Classroom & Program Support Assist with age-appropriate activities and lesson plans Support children's learning, development, and social growth Provide positive guidance and age-appropriate behavior management Participate in activities, outings, and special projects Assist with implementation of specialized programming and activities as needed Classroom Organization Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment Assist with daily and weekly cleaning tasks Stock and organize classroom supplies Work collaboratively with staff to support quality child care services Family & Team Communication Communicate professionally and respectfully with families and staff Support an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and special needs awareness Attend staff meetings and required trainings
What You Bring:
Desire to work with children and support their growth and development Ability to work with children of all abilities Strong communication and teamwork skills Dependability and a positive attitude Good time management and organizational skills Basic computer skills Ability to participate in active play and physical activities with children, including crawling, rolling, jumping, climbing, and other movement-based activities
Requirements:
CPR and First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire Valid driver's license required if operating company vehicles
