SCOPE OF WORK
This position will be to provide in home guidance and instruction on high quality parenting, care of infants and toddlers. The home visitor will meet with the primary care giver usually the parent or other family member in a home setting.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruit, enroll, and orient eligible families into the Early Head Start (EHS) program; complete family partnership agreements and explain program services and expectations. Plan and conduct bi-weekly home visits and group socializations using the Parents as Teachers model and Creative Curriculum; model developmentally appropriate activities and support child transitions. Assist families in developing and implementing IFSP outcomes; support family goals and ensure Head Start Performance Standards are integrated into services. Track and ensure completion of required child health screenings within established timelines. Maintain accurate records, enter required data into Head Start systems, and submit reports to supervisors in a timely manner. Provide information on EHS services and curricula; transport families to socializations, trainings, and required parent meetings as needed. Participate in required staff trainings and meetings; assist in EHS classrooms or other program areas as needed to support operations. Will perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma with 1-1/2 years or more experience working with children in an early childhood setting.
Valid Driver's License SHIFT:
8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
TESTING AND BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS
Subject to pre-employment, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing. Must submit to a background check and pass an MVR screening.

Qualified applicants will receive Veteran's Preference with submission of proof of honorable military service (e.g., DD-214).
