$18.80/hour Program Summary This full-time early childhood teaching position is for infant care. Northbridge Early Childhood Development Center (NBECDC) serves kids (ages 6 weeks to 6 years). The center utilizes Creative Curriculum and provides kids with early and ongoing developmental opportunities in an inclusive and diverse environment to help them learn and grow. Classrooms are led by educated and experienced teachers.

is accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) and offers the benefit of an early childhood and family therapist. Responsibilities Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, culturally appropriate environment. This includes positive role modeling, effective supervision of children and behavior management, organizing and carrying out curriculum activities and individual planning for children. Responsible for meeting the needs of children in care. This includes assisting the lead teacher in the development and implementation of each child's or classroom's daily schedule for health, transportation, meals, rest and curriculum activities. Abide by all State of Nebraska Childcare Licensing regulations and Council of Accreditation standards. Document complete and accurate information regarding children according to the organization's policies and procedures. This may include incident reports, daily communication with parents, and other required program documentation as needed. In cooperation with Lead Teacher, plan for and attend parent conferences and plan for/assist with family events related to early childhood development to ensure that parent conferences and events are positive and performed on a regular basis. Provide parents with relevant child development information, positive communication regarding their child and follow through on reasonable parent requests. Establish and maintain relationships with families that foster trust and respect. Flexibility between classrooms depending on the number of children in the classroom. Requirements 19 years of age or older
Preferred:
CDA credential or some college credits in early childhood education, child development, elementary education, or early childhood special education Genuine interest in and concern for children, youth and their families Sensitive to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the clients and families we serve Valid Nebraska driver's license and a good driving record Excellent written and oral communication skills
