Job Description
Part-Time Afternoon Float Teacher Join Our Team! We are looking for a dependable, energetic, and passionate Part-Time Afternoon Float Teacher to join our childcare team! This position works with children ranging from infants through Pre-K and supports classrooms throughout the center during afternoon hours. Our ideal candidate is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children while being a positive and respectful team member. Schedule Approximately 2:00 PM - 5:30 PM Monday through Friday Additional hours may occasionally be available Responsibilities Assist and support teachers in classrooms with children ages infant through Pre-K Supervise children to ensure safety and well-being at all times Engage children in age-appropriate activities, play, and learning experiences Help maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards Support diapering, toileting, feeding, and nap routines as needed Maintain proper child-to-staff ratios Follow all childcare licensing regulations and center policies Communicate professionally with staff, children, and families Assist with classroom transitions, playground supervision, and daily routines Help prepare and clean up snacks, activities, and materials Promote positive behavior guidance and emotional development Be flexible and willing to assist wherever needed throughout the center Qualifications Must be dependable, punctual, and team-oriented Passion for working with children Respectful, professional, and positive attitude Ambitious and willing to learn and grow Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment Previous childcare experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate Must be able to pass required background checks CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain What We're Looking For We want someone who is: Committed Respectful Passionate about early childhood education Ambitious and motivated Reliable and hardworking A positive role model for children Benefits Supportive team environment Opportunity for growth within the company Meaningful and rewarding work Consistent weekday schedule
