Lead Infant Teacher 5 Summer Street, Hanover, NH 03755 $23.70 - $26.00 an hour - Full-time $23.70 - $26.00 an hour - Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic Lead Infant Teacher to join our devoted early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will lead the development and implementation of engaging, nurturing, and educational activities tailored specifically for infants. Your leadership will foster a safe, loving environment where young children can explore, learn, and grow. As the Lead Infant Teacher, you will serve as a positive role model for other staff members, ensuring high-quality care that promotes early childhood development and supports families' needs. Your dedication will inspire a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills essential for lifelong learning. Duties Provide attentive caregiving with a focus on safety, hygiene, and comfort for each child in your care. Lead daily classroom activities such as tummy time, sensory play, storytime, and music sessions to stimulate infant growth and curiosity. Monitor and document each child's developmental milestones, behaviors, and individual needs to inform personalized care plans. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or caregivers to ensure consistent quality of care and classroom management. Maintain open communication with families regarding their child's progress, routines, and any concerns or observations. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations including first aid procedures and emergency protocols. Foster an inclusive environment that respects diverse backgrounds and supports children with special needs or disabilities through tailored activities and accommodations. Experience Prior experience working with infants in a daycare or preschool setting is required; at least one year of classroom experience is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles specific to infants and toddlers. Experience in classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and emotional regulation. Certification in first aid and CPR is essential; background check required before start date begins. Familiarity with early childhood education standards, caregiving best practices, and developmental assessments. Previous nannying or babysitting experience involving infant care can be valuable but must be complemented by formal early childhood education experience.
