In this role, you will support early childhood development by assisting lead teachers in implementing engaging activities, ensuring the well-being of children, and maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere. Duties Support lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development and learning. Assist with daily childcare routines including feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Ensure the safety of all children by monitoring classroom behavior and managing behavior with positive reinforcement strategies. Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity. Communicate effectively with children to support social-emotional growth and address individual needs. Collaborate with team members to implement individualized care plans for children with special needs or disabilities. Follow all health and safety protocols diligently, including first aid procedures when necessary, to ensure a secure environment for everyone. Skills Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings. Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific caregiving techniques. Certification in first aid and CPR to respond confidently to emergencies. Familiarity with special education practices and working with individuals with disabilities. Strong classroom management skills to foster positive behavior and engagement. Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining patience and compassion.
